GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

Thank you to all of our school community for supporting PTA events over the past year. With the money raised we have been able to purchase some wonderful sensory chimes for our garden area. Without the hard work of members of the PTA this would not be possible-so thank you all!

The Canal and River Trust paid us a visit, with a whole school assembly and a special early years themed event. They shared some fantastic ideas and guidance to keep our families safe.

Year 1 went on a school trip to the British Motor Museum. Year 1 thoroughly enjoyed their time dressing up as bus drivers, riding on a 100-year-old bus and investigating the first ever car. Here are some pictures of the cars we observed and the costumes we dressed up in.

To enhance our STEAM learning this term our Year 1 class visited the British Motor Museum at Gaydon. The class had the chance to investigate lots of different motor vehicles and see how they have developed over time. KS2 competed in their second House Competition of the academic year. The challenge involved orienteering, searching for puzzle pieces with the aid of a map of the school grounds. However, it wasn’t that easy. There were lots of challenges to earn their puzzle pieces to begin with

Meet the team

Mr Morten CFChris Morten

Nursery Class Teacher

I have been part of the Cherry Fields team since the beginning when the school opened in September 2020 working as a Learning Assistant. My next step was becoming Cover Supervisor before making the step up to Nursery Lead in September 2022. I have lots of experience working with Early Years, being a part of other teams in different Nurseries and preschools and thoroughly enjoy being a part of the children’s development as they begin to adapt to life in education. I feel the Early Years are the most important and the most exciting – and its important the children have a positive and exciting start to their journey through school here at CF. 

Outside of Cherry Fields, I am a massive Wycombe Wanderers fan and love to watch and play football. I also enjoy playing console games in my spare time but most of all, spending time with my family on days out.

My name is Miss Asif and I joined Cherry Fields in 2022. My favourite thing to do is read lots of different books in my spare time. I enjoy my horse riding lessons and learning lots of new things with each lesson I have. I also enjoy going on walks with my family and doing lots of fun things.

I have been working in the nursery for 2 years . My favourite things are spending time with my family, going on fun days out like trips to the zoo, working in nursery where I love helping children learn through play and reading books together and singing songs.
